Plastic floats in the sea; entire regions have become and continue to become uninhabitable due to toxins and drought. We are living at the expense of future generations, who will experience friendships and first love while dealing with climate-induced storms and poisoned forests.
The seven short films in this programme explore life in the wake of an environmental disaster. Ice is being mined in “Freeze Frame”, a rare commodity in these times of global warming, “Pile” traces the chain of resource exploitation and “Once There Was a Sea” highlights how difficult it is to speak openly about the destruction of the basis of our existence.
