Once again, Fantoche gives an insight to the creative and production process of animation works that will be soon released. The 2011 “Coming Soon” section presents four challenging international projects belonging to different audiovisual areas – short, feature, cross media and video game. The interesting common point of the selected works is the relationship between animation and reality.

Sam and Fred Guillaume, the makers of “Max & Co”, offer an exclusive glimpse behind the scenes of their current film production: in the short animated documentary planned for 2012, the brothers draw on their experiences with a film club in a care home. We look forward to the first visuals and animated sequences!

Approved for Adoption / 60'

Swiss producer Nicolas Burlet and French documentary filmmaker Laurent Boileau introduce the creative process behind their feature film project “Approved for Adoption”. This animated documentary is an adaption of the autobiographical comic “Couleur de peau: miel” by the Korean Jung and it combines illustrative elements, animation and live action.

Last year Fantoche showcased the independent game “Samorost”. This year the master-mind behind this fantastic game is our guest, Jakub Dvorský, Czech game designer and visual artist, who will be presenting “Botanicula” the latest stroke of genius from the house of Amanita Design. Visuals showing great promise – get ready for the excitement!
