GameCulture Conference
The Swiss cultural foundation, Pro Helvetia, plans to spend the next two years looking at the social, economic and aesthetic questions arising with computer games and highlighting them as a new art form. As a prelude to the “GameCulture” programme, the “GameCulture Conference” will take place as part of Fantoche on 9 September 2010, where talks will be delivered on the potential of the Swiss computer games industry by international and national experts from the areas of games development, research and cultural development.

IGDA – Swiss Games: Post Mortem
Which challenges have to be overcome when it comes to game production? Which mistakes are avoidable? IGDA, the association of Swiss computer game developers, invites you to an exchange of experiences at Fantoche. Swiss game designers present their completed games and discuss the production process including the highs and lows that they go through. The event is open to the public and provides some interesting insights.

Focal Workshops: Animated Music Videos
The production of animated music clips is the focus of this year's workshops by the cultural foundation FOCAL in collaboration with Fantoche. Professionals from the fields of film, animation and motion graphics look at the relationship between music and moving pictures with the guidance of the two music video aces Max Hattler and Jonas Odell and make their own 3D music clip.

What happens when students of animation and game design spend six days together fiddling about? We want to know and so we are opening an interdisciplinary experimental ground. With expert guidance and daily input reports, mixed teams will develop interactive animations and small computer games. We can't wait! You can drop in at any time.
